I thought it was a lot better than other reviewers have given it credit. Although I must say I am a sucker for the side-show type of characters (Love Geek Love). Some people have said it was more of a children’s book, or a book for kids. I found it a very entertaining read. It reminded me a little of a Neil Gaiman book with the fantasy and lore. That being said… I don’t see myself running to get the next books in the series; even though the ending was left in a type of a cliff-hanger. I may continue the series at a future, undisclosed date (so many books, so little time). All-in-All, I would recommend this book to readers of fantasy.
